DATA HANDLING PRACTICES

How We Handle and Secure Your Information

c5i applies a layered approach to data security — from encryption at the point of UPI or Paytm deposit, through to secure server storage and periodic access reviews.

Data Encryption

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS. This applies equally whether you are depositing via UPI, checking your account balance, or updating your registered mobile number.

Cookie Use

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies to understand how pages are used. You can adjust cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time without affecting your ability to log in.

Account Security

Your account is protected by password authentication and, where enabled, two-step verification via your registered mobile number. We will never ask for your password by email, chat or phone — any such request should be reported to us.

Retention Periods

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active and for the period required by applicable law thereafter. Once the retention period lapses, data is securely deleted or anonymised from our systems.

Payment Data Handling

Transaction details processed through Paytm, PhonePe or UPI are stored only in accordance with payment-processor agreements and applicable Indian financial regulations. We do not store full card or bank account numbers on our servers.

Requesting Changes

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting the privacy team. We will verify your identity before processing any request to ensure your records are not altered by an unauthorised party.

Your Privacy Questions About c5i

Below are the questions we receive most frequently about how c5i handles personal data. If your question is not covered here, reach out to our privacy team through the contact paths listed on this page.

We collect your name, email address, mobile number and date of birth during account creation. When you deposit via UPI or Paytm, transaction references are also recorded to maintain accurate account records and meet our legal obligations.

We share data only with payment processors such as Paytm, PhonePe and UPI networks — and only to the extent needed to complete your transaction. We do not sell personal data or share it with advertisers without your explicit consent.

Send a request to our privacy team via email or the Help Centre form, including your registered email address. We will verify your identity and deliver a copy of your personal data within seven business days of confirming the request.

Yes. You can submit a deletion request through the Help Centre form or by emailing the privacy team. We will remove your data once legal retention obligations have been satisfied, and we will confirm deletion in writing to your registered email.

After an account is closed, we retain records for the period required under applicable Indian law. Once that period ends, your data is permanently deleted or anonymised so it can no longer be linked back to you.

Full UPI virtual payment addresses and PhonePe wallet credentials are not stored on our servers beyond what is needed to reference a completed transaction. Payment processing is handled through encrypted connections with the respective payment processors.

Change your password immediately through the Account Settings page and then contact our support team via live chat. We can flag suspicious activity on your account, review recent login records and, where needed, temporarily restrict access while we investigate.
